Advocacy at the intersections – working alongside LGBTIQ+ people with disabilities @ Chillout Festival in the Thorne Harbour workshop tent from 2:15pm-3:45pm

Accessibility and inclusion is more than just a checklist.
How can all of us do better at advocating alongside, and practicing allyship with, LGBTIQ+ people with disabilities?

Join Jax from queerspace, Nathan from Inclusion Melbourne and Ruby from Thorne Harbour Health for an interactive workshop about their collaboration with LGBTIQ+ disability advocates and disability organisations.

This workshop provides an opportunity for the LGBTIQ+ communities to discuss what advocating for better access and inclusion really means. You will walk or wheel away with useful material and ideas to start a conversation on access and inclusion in your community, your service and your LGBTIQ+ community organisation.

Open to everyone including service providers and community organisations.
This workshop will be Auslan Interpreted

Advocacy at the intersections is a partnership between queerspace/drummond street services and DARU. It is funded by the Victorian Governments Advocacy futures fund.

For upcoming workshops contact Jax at jaxjacki.brown@ds.org.au
