This immersive Auslan course runs for eight weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6–8pm.

8 weeks starts from Tuesday 2nd May -runs through to Tuesday  6th June

St Martins partners with Auslan Stage Left to deliver an 8-week Auslan course with content specific to the Arts sector. Aimed at individuals and organisations working across the Arts, the course will deliver basic instruction in Deaf Culture and etiquette, Deaf Awareness training and instruction in Australian Sign Language (Auslan) which can be applicable to your working environment.

Designed by Deaf Artist Jo Dunbar in collaboration with Auslan Stage Left (a leading theatre interpreting company), this is a practical and informative course, which aims to provide an immersive experience in understanding Deaf Culture and Auslan as it applies to the arts. It will offer opportunities to tap into and build resources, engage with deaf professionals, build your networks and build a sustainable base of learning. It will be creative, interactive, fun and challenging. If you’ve always wanted to learn Auslan, now is the time!
