MSO AT NGV: MIA SALSJÖ’S A SCORE FOR FED SQUAREPRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MELBOURNE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

In 2022 artist and composer Mia Salsjö composed A score for Fed Square in celebration of the Melbourne landmark’s anniversary, commissioned by Fed Square and the National Gallery of Victoria, responding to Fed Square’s architecture.

In an exclusive one-off performance, musicians from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) conducted by Cybec Assistant Conductor Carlo Antonioli perform A score for Fed Square in Community Hall.

Following the performance, Mia Salsjö along with orchestrator Mark Buys and conductor Carlo Antonioli will discuss the project and the process of composing and performing the work, in a conversation hosted by NGV Curator Katharina Prugger.
