Join us for a Q&A to celebrate International Day of People with Disability with advocate and activist Carly Findlay OAM.

Carly is an award winning writer, speaker and disability activist. She is a proud disabled woman living with a severe skin condition called ichthyosis. She is one of Australia’s leading voices on disability.

Carly organised Australia’s first ichthyosis meet in 2015, which brought together 75 people affected by the condition, and helped create friendships and support networks. In addition, she also developed the history-making Access to Fashion – a first for Melbourne Fashion Week featuring models with a disability.

Her writing includes her memoir, Say Hello, and she has also edited the anthology, Growing Up Disabled in Australia.

Carly’s work as an advocate and activist saw her honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2020.
