Transport yourself to the rose-hued dirt of the outback with Red Desert Dream, the first instalment of Selve’s visual album.

The Gold Coast-based band, led by Jabirr Jabirr musician Loki Liddle and Reece Bowden (Anaiwan), Selve Cinema is an immersive cinematic performance work that features 6-piece rock band Selve performing their notoriously high energy show to screen content written + directed by Alethea Beetson inside HOTA’s Cinema 2. Combining visuals from Red Desert Dream, Selve x Alethea’s recent visual album, and brand new music + visual content made for the show, Selve Cinema is a sensory overload that combines the vision of writer/director Alethea Beetson with the narrative songwriting of Selve in a feat of collaborative First Nations storytelling that defies genre and transcends silos.
