SPRING IS HERE, LET’S CELEBRATE!

Celebrate the return of warmer weather at Whitehorse City Council’s ever popular Spring Festival on Sunday 19 October 2014.

Spring Festival is a free, fun-filled day that celebrates our vibrant community! Offering a perfect day out for all the family, this year’s festival will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the City of Whitehorse.

Come and enjoy a huge variety free rides, performances, workshops and activity sessions – have your face painted, see and participate in the amazing Dreaming Space circus shows and workshops, play with the giant garden games and see the best local bands, singers and artists across five stages. Not all the action will happen on stage – festival goers will once again look to the sky to appreciate the aerial acrobatics of the Fly Factory. Guests can also expect plenty of great food, delicious coffee and sweet treats, and there will be ample seating and grassed areas to kick back, relax and enjoy the festivities.

Most importantly, Spring Festival provides a great opportunity to get to know your local neighbourhood with the event showcasing displays by an abundance of local hobby clubs, interest groups and service providers, so come along and learn more about the activities offered just around the corner.

As parking is limited, we’d like to encourage people to arrive at the Spring Festival by public transport or bicycle and use the fantastic ‘bicycle valet parking’ arranged by the City of Whitehorse Bicycle Advisory Committee (CoWBAC). You won’t need to worry about locking your bike or finding somewhere to put it – simply ride up to the attendants at the front of the site and ask them to take care of it for you in the brand new bicycle parking facility.
