Once upon a time, but not very long ago, deep in the Australian bush lived two possums. Their names were Hush and Grandma Poss.
The magical stage adaptation of the beloved Australian story is back to celebrate its 40th birthday!
Mem Fox and Julie Vivas’ beloved picture book Possum Magic has enchanted children for decades and Monkey Baa Theatre Company brings paper and ink to life with a beautiful original soundscape, puppetry, animation and stage magic!
From pumpkin scones in Brisbane to Minties in Melbourne, follow Grandma Poss and Hush as they travel around Australia to find the magic food that will make Hush visible again.
Pack enough Vegemite sandwiches and lamingtons for all and be enchanted by this theatrical bush bewitchment that celebrates the unique flora and fauna of Australia and its culture. Perfect for audiences 3–8 years and their families.
Based on the book by Mem Fox and Julie Vivas.
Adapted for the stage by Eva Di Cesare and Sandie Eldridge.
Directed by Sandie Eldridge
This performance is Auslan interpreted, proudly supported by the Dalwood-Wylie Foundation.
