The Koorie Youth Summit is the largest gathering in Victoria created for, and led by, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 18 to 28.
Since its inception in 2014, KYC has organised this gathering to provide a safe space for young mob from across the state to come together, connect, and engage in discussions about what matters to us. It’s an opportunity to express pride, learn, share, and celebrate our culture.
Each year, the Summit revolves around a specific theme and showcases inspiring speakers, yarning circles, and workshops. Notable past speakers have included Uncle Archie Roach, Adam Goodes, Nooky, Brooke Blurton, Kobie Dee, Megzy, Adam Briggs, Tunchai Redvers, along with members of our Executive team and other remarkable young people across our communities.
The Summit welcomes over 200 delegates annually, from Mildura to Gippsland and everywhere in between—coming together to build connection, spark change, and inspire the next generation.

Koorie Youth Summit 2026 — Together, We’re Staunch: Our Culture, Our Power
We’re excited to announce the theme for the 2026 Koorie Youth Summit — Together, We’re Staunch: Our Culture, Our Power, dreamed up by our incredible Summit Working Group members.
This year’s theme is a call to young mob across Victoria to recognise the strength we hold together as a community. Grounded in KYC’s youth-led foundations, the Summit Working Group has shaped this statewide gathering to ensure the Summit remains a powerful space for connection, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building.
Young mob hold power within themselves and that power grows stronger when we stand together. Across Victoria, young people have many different experiences and passions, but one truth remains constant: the strength we draw from culture, lore, law, Country, and the teachings of our Elders and ancestors.
We can’t wait to launch the full program in the coming weeks, featuring incredible Keynote Speakers, community leaders, experts, and change-makers from in and around the Koorie community.
