“a11y”… that’s a – eleven – y, the shorthand for “accessibility”. We say it a lot, so yeah, we find efficiencies. With our Aussie accents, it comes out as “ah-lee”.

A11y Bytes is a dynamic fast-paced evening of lightning talks about digital accessibility and the needs and preferences of users with disabilities. This year is our 13th year of A11y Bytes, which will again be held on Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

A11y Bytes is back for its thirteenth year celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

A11y Bytes brings people together to explore how we can create a more inclusive digital world. This year, we have in-person event in Sydney and Melbourne.

We will have up to 6 short byte-size talks on accessibility. Call for presentation proposal are open now, closing on Monday 28 April, 2025. Presenters will be announced by Friday 2 May.

You don’t have to be an accessibility aficionado to attend. This event is about us all talking, thinking and learning about digital accessibility and inclusion together. Join us at A11y Bytes and connect, be inspired and have some fun as we talk, learn, grow and change the world.

The event will have:
