“Collaboration has recently emerged as the defining characteristic of creativity and growth in nearly all sectors and industries. The singular genius who works alone is a myth of yesterday.” Prof. Jeff DeGraff
At its best, a performing arts community facilitates collaborative, creative work that capitalises on individual strengths and collective wisdom. It involves shared values, reciprocal respect and trust that can underpin a dynamic and at times passionate and opinionated arts environment.
Themes discussed in this workshop include how to cultivate a diverse and inclusive culture; skills toward shared identity practice; how to identify core values within your arts organisation; using storytelling to help foster healthy communities, how giving can foster wellbeing and flourishing, and using courage and vulnerability to support healthy organisational culture.
