For three soulful days, Bridgetown comes alive with acoustic and electric blues, showcasing a rich mix of established legends and exciting up-and-coming talent. Music pulses through the town, spilling from stages and venues and inviting everyone to slow down, tune in, and feel the groove.

One of the weekend highlights is the much-loved Blues Street Party on Saturday. Bridgetown’s main street transforms into a buzzing hub of colour, sound, and flavour, with a huge range of food stalls and local wares to explore. Street entertainers set the vibe as you wander, creating that unmistakable bluesy atmosphere that makes this weekend so special.

Blues at Bridgetown has always embraced the breadth of the genre. Over time, the festival deliberately expanded to include related styles such as folk, bluegrass, roots, gospel and rockabilly. This evolution not only broadened the audience but also welcomed local musicians whose work sat alongside the blues rather than strictly within it. 

Bringing the blues to Bridgetown has always been, and remains, a community effort. Over the years, countless people have lived and breathed Blues at Bridgetown—some for a single weekend, others for months at a time.
