A HUGE day of live music in the park, to close out the festival. First Nations storytelling meets Afro-futurist rhythms, soul-jazz prowess and global sounds.
Headlining is genre-defying artist and award-winning Aboriginal Songman Fred Leone, joining forces with platinum producer and multi-instrumentalist Leigh Roy Ryan (Plutonic Lab) under the creative banner Fred Leone & Radio for Ghosts. Together they craft deep, soul-driven music woven with Leone’s lived experiences as a First Nations man. Stories of social justice, grief, beauty and enduring love rise to the surface, guiding listeners on a powerful and transcendent musical journey.
Also on the bill: Allysha Joy (30/70), a defining voice in Melbourne’s soul-jazz scene and Cool Out Sun with Afro-roots, hip hop-and poetic social commentary.
International DJ and sound artist Jace Clayton (formerly DJ /rupture) delivers boundary-pushing global sounds, before Pirritu (Brett Lee) – Wangaaypuwan singer-songwriter – closes the festival with intimate folk storytelling grounded in Country and connection.
Wrap up BMF 2026 right!
