The careers of two Navy fighter pilots are thrown into disarray when they embark on a relationship forbidden by the military. Dan seems to have it all – career, gorgeous fiancée, and a devoted best friend in Will. But when Dan and Matt cross paths during shore leave, both their lives are turned upside down. D.M.W. Greer’s adaptation of his own play tackles the issues of identity, sexuality, loyalty and friendship in this intense and emotional drama which exposes the modern day witch-hunts that still exist in many conservative organisations.
Beautifully shot with stunning use of slick jet fighters juxtaposed against a romantic, but turbulent narrative, Burning Blue is a fest highlight.
