Cairns Tourist Festival

Cairns Festival was founded by the Cairns Regional Council on 26 May, 1962 with the highlight event being the grand opening of a new jetty on Green Island.  This was the same time that the first annual Cairns Tourist Festival was established.

Regional Queensland’s most significant and fastest-growing community event, Cairns Festival has come a long way since then.

Grand Parade Night

We go big here in Festival land, and we do not disappoint for the biggest night of the year. Big, Brassy, Bold, Bombastic.

These bands do not shy away from the spotlight. Burger Joint, Hot Potato Band, Horns of Leroy, all headlined by Caravana Sun.
