Join Professor Toby Walsh, one of the world’s leading researchers into Artificial Intelligence (AI), in conversation with journalist, writer, and host of the ABC’s new culture podcast, Schmeitgeist, Ange Lavopierre, as they discuss Faking It: Artificial Intelligence in a Human World.

Can AI systems ever be creative? Can they be moral? What can we do to ensure they are not harmful? In Faking It: Artificial Intelligence in a Human World, Professor Toby Walsh explores all the ways that AI fakes it, and what this means for humanity — now and in the future.

Professor Toby Walsh is a Laureate Fellow and Scientia Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of New South Wales. His previous titles include Machines Behaving Badly: The Morality of AI (2022) and 2062: The World that AI Made (2018)
