As a child, people kept telling Julie Peters she was a boy, and she could never be a girl. She didn’t believe them! At first, her quest to become her authentic self, with a coherent identity, was totally undirected and took decades. Along the way she tried showbiz, academia, politics, environmentalism, promoting social justice and equity, becoming an accidental archivist and fashionista.
