Baker Boy, Something For Kate, Art vs Science, Montaigne and more to play Melbourne’s free all-ages festival, ‘Illuminate the River’
A jaw-dropping lineup of some of Australia’s biggest and hottest musical talents has today been revealed for Illuminate the River, a free and all-ages festival to be held on the banks of the Maribyrnong River on Saturday 19 November 2022.
Moonee Valley City Council and the Victorian State Government’s live music re-invigoration program On The Road Again have lifted the lid on the nine-hour event that features multi-platinum selling artists, ARIA award winners and triple j mainstays, as well as a plethora of family-friendly activities.
Yolngu superstar Baker Boy, iconic Melbourne trio Something For Kate, electronic dance mavericks Art vs Science, art-pop singer and Eurovision representative Montaigne, indie-pop singer Mia Wray and kid favourites the Teeny Tiny Stevies lead the charge of artists who will descend upon the main stage beside the Maribyrnong River in Aberfeldie. Home-grown and local acts will round out the bill, performing on two additional festival stages.
That’s not all on the cards – the day will also feature carnival rides, kids’ activities, food trucks, a beer garden and a Box Wars extravaganza.
