These two songstresses are joining forces to bring their whiskey-soaked folk and alt-country music to the iconic Northcote Social Club.
Kerryn Fields is a storyteller and country-and-folk artist with huge personality and striking voice. Her debut album RASCAL was recorded over two years in bungalows, bedrooms and studios in Melbourne, delving into the bold process of leaving your life behind for the unknown and finding direction. Laced with rockabilly and soul, every song tells a story accentuated by Fields’ punchy lyrics and razor sharp wit.
Little Wise is Melbournian songwriter Sophie Klein. This artist is small in stature, but tells a towering story with the wisdom of an old soul. Her voice is smooth, feminine and perfectly matched to her songs. She has just returned from a national tour celebrating the launch of her highly acclaimed debut album ‘Silver Birch’. The work is backed by Creative Partnerships Australia and a devoted audience of crowd-funders, hooked on her raw and uplifting songwriting.
