Little Puggle’s Song – A musical story with Orchestra Victoria: A new composition for young people, adapted from Vikki Conley’s book of the same name, with illustrations by Hélène Magisson.

Running for approx. 20 minutes, the show features an ensemble of 5 musicians, a narrator and and moments of audience interaction.

Introduce your children to the magic of live music in an exciting new collaboration with Orchestra Victoria!

Little Puggle’s song is a heart-warming story about a young echidna, Puggle, who wants to join the bush choir, however every time he tries to sing nothing comes out! Set to the sounds of woodwind, string and percussion instruments, this new work by composer Maria Grenfell brings Vikki Conley’s charming picture book to life.

This short, interactive session is a perfect first musical experience for young people. Children are invited to participate in the storytelling and learn about all the different instruments being played.

There’ll be four 30 minute sessions a day, at 10.00am, 11.30am, 1.00pm and 2.30pm.

Plus, bookings for any session on Thursday 8 July will also include admission to our Kids’ Takeover.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience this musical storytime in our beautiful, newly renovated spaces. They’ll be singing and dancing all the way home!

Suitable for ages three and older.
