Next Wave Festival 2016 takes over theatres, galleries, carparks, gardens, shopfronts and carparks across Melbourne from 5-22 May. Featuring 37 projects by emerging and early-career artists from across Australia, the 2016 Festival highlights diverse voices, celebrates inclusivity and explores interconnectedness across its program.

From Northcote to North Melbourne, Collingwood to the CBD, the Festival exists in geographic clusters of activity – meaning you can see and experience more work than ever. Between performances, exhibitions, interactions, publications, Indigenous language workshops, parties and the late-night Festival Club at The Toff in Town, Next Wave Festival 2016 is the place to jump in and immerse yourself in the new generation in Australian art.

The Artistic Director – Georgie Meagher – along with special guests, will officially launch the Next Wave Festival 2016 on 4th May, 2016.
