Inspired by women who defy the rules and play their own game.

In an arena of rope, pole and trapeze, No Punchline draws upon the vulnerable and physical in boxing to portray a complex femininity – one of strength, absurdity and heart. An evocative soundscape and an interplay of physical theatre and circus create a world where the characters reveal their quirks, strength and humour.

Performed by Anni Davey, Ann Truong, Charlie Rust, Erin Dolan, Paula Slutzkin, Tarn Scully, Xavier Sisquella and current Oceania Boxing Bantamweight Champion Bianca ‘Bam Bam’ Elmir. Written and directed by Sara Pheasant; musical direction and performance by Teresa Blake.
