Location: John Macmillan Park in East Victoria Park

Construction has begun on the $1.1million dollar John Mactivation Project in John Macmillan Park to revitalise the precinct along Sussex Street outside the library.

The project aims to meet community needs and provide a safer and more inviting space.

The concept design was informed by a community engagement process where people voted on the most desired elements they would like to see in the park to make it more active and welcoming.

“This is a fantastic project which gained 98% support from the consultation activities for the upgrade,” said Mayor Trevor Vaughan.

“After years of limited spending in this precinct, I can’t wait to see how it will look once it’s completed.
