“It’s you. It’s you that will change your life. It’s you that will make your world a better place” – RJ MITTE
Inspiring, grounded and passionate, RJ Mitte is an actor of Breaking Bad notoriety, a model for Vivienne Westwood and a Youth Spokesperson for the National Disability Institute. He also has Cerebral Palsy. Just 2% of actors and presenters appearing on our screens have a disability, viewed by many as a gross underrepresentation. RJ Mitte has worked his whole life to overcome his disability and challenge the odds to become a critically acclaimed actor.
His broad talent, self-belief, advocacy for tackling bullying and teen suicide and ongoing career success positions him as a role-model to anyone facing challenges in their life.
RJ will talk about how Breaking Bad has changed his life and describe the intensity of his amazing experience and the importance of giving back, sharing his insights of observing a 180 not only in his on-screen character, but in himself too.
Join RJ for this inspiring talk drawing on his personal experiences of overcoming adversity. Benjamin Law is a Sydney-based journalist, columnist and screenwriter, and has completed a PhD in television writing and cultural studies. A huge fan of Breaking Bad, Benjamin is thrilled to be joining RJ for this insightful talk.
