About Deline Briscoe

Deline Briscoe is an internationally acclaimed singer songwriter hailing from the Yalanji of far northern Australia. Deline stands as a powerful embodiment of her deep Yalanji heritage and Gospel vocal prowess.

With a career spanning over two decades, she has graced the stage alongside renowned Australian vocalists such as Archie Roach, Lou Bennett, Paul Kelly and Emma Donovan. Her global journey has seen collaborations with remarkable ensembles including Black Arm Band and Mission Songs Project.

Deline’s progressive journey as a Yalanji woman of song upholds cultural song traditions through her language connection. Her unique sound is Rainforest Soul – acoustic roots with harmonies interweaving vocal lines that seamlessly move between traditional and contemporary songlines.
