TESS is a good woman. TESS is a woman trying to be good. She is pretty. TESS is a grieving mother and a murderer. She is a victim. TESS is trying to find love in a hopeless place. TESS knows the truth. She is young. She is really good at writing angry letters and not giving them to you. TESS is a bird with a broken wing who needs to be cradled. TESS will slaughter. TESS is your saint and your martyr.
An adaptation of Tess of the d’Urbervilles, TESS is a performance event about the systematic destruction of a woman. She survives and then she doesn’t.
