Her favourite show? Tough call, too many to name, so here’s one in each category 😉
Musical: ‘I have to say Matilda – one of my favourite childhood books, turned into an award winning musical by a witty lyricist/musical comedian – love it!’
Opera: Koolbardi wer Wardong – an opera in Noongar, telling the story of Koolbardi (Magpie) and Wardong (Crow).
Straight play: In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) – Victorian era story about the early days of psychotherapy for women – funny and sad and poignant.
Shakespeare: Hecate – a retelling of Macbeth with a focus on the witches, told entirely in Noongar – incredibly powerful!
Her other interests include reading, books, libraries (can you sense a theme…)
